Recently Houston First created a new installment in their award winning advertising campaign to market Houston as a Tourist destination. Their newest commercial stars The Suffers and features the tune “Good Day” off their newly released album as the soundtrack. Great tune, but way longer than :30. Zenfilm director W. Ross Wells looked to SugarHill’s Dan Workman for help in creating the perfect commercial length version. A few weeks of harrowing preproduction, a big two day shoot, a lot of mixing editing and sound designing later… Presto! Out popped “Good Day”, a 30-second mini music video shot in and around Houston’s Historic Market Square District. The spot received acclaim after its debut screening during The Suffers’ appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. We are really proud of how the spot came out and now we would like to share it with you.
