Instructors: CHRIS LONGWOOD and CODY FRANZ
Chris and Cody, long-time staff engineers at SugarHill, will take you step by step through the process of recording live instruments and creating a complete song on ProTools. Live drums, bass, guitars, keyboard, and vocals will be recorded and overdubbed onto a track. Our instructors show you how decisions are made on mic placement and why certain production techniques are employed in a recording session.
The recording workshop will help introduce basic recording methods honed by our skilled staff, and can give you a fresh take on ideas you’ve come upon yourself.
